High Point Dog Qualifications
The Ohio HRC High Point Trophy is a
traveling trophy that is awarded to the retriever that earns the most
HRC championship points during the previous calendar year. The
trophy is presented to the owner of the retriever at our annual banquet
held each year. The retriever owner holds the trophy
for a period of one calendar year. The trophy is engraved with the name of
the retriever, name of owner, total number of points and year
earned.
To qualify for this prestigious trophy the retriever/owner must meet
the following qualifications:
- The owner of the retriever must have active(*) membership in the Ohio
Hunting Retriever Club at the time the points were earned.
- (*) Active is defined as an applicant who meets 2 of 3 of the following criteria:
- 1) attend 3 OHRC club training days in year that qualifying points were attained
- 2) attend OHRC annual club banquet
- 3) help at one of OHRC hunt tests (either Upland or Regular) in the same year that qualifying points were attained
- Only championship points earned at licensed HRC Hunt Test
qualify. Verification will be made by presentation of points
slips.
- The dog must be handled by an amateur OHRC member in good
standing.
- Points must be earned during the calendar year.
Nominations should be sent and received to the club president along with copies of point slips by December 31st.
